regarding the 210 above the surface

that correlaties to about 160-165 at the surface. Ther eis a dramatic drop off in the final hundred meters of the atmosphere before reaching the ground

must be a great feeling for people living in 20+ story buildings that they can stay home and experience EVEN MORE devastation!!! :eek:

Being in a high-rise would not be fun. I rode out a typhoon in Taiwan once in a hotel room on the 28th floor. They were handing out extra towels to everyone to mop up the rain that was being forced in around the windows. You could feel the building rock back and forth. Like being on ship!

So if you dont evacuate (and I cant imagine why one wouldnt) then get your sandbags now and put them next to your doorsills maybe?
