Keys being evacuated now?
I just heard on the morning news that the keys are already being evacuated...is this true?

I heard this morning they were planning but have not started.. Hopefully they have been "planning" since June 1st though

At this time, don't you agree a *voluntary* evac is in order? Given it takes a long time (even on a good day) for non-locals to actually make the trip, the locals will need a little time to board up. By Saturday, you could expect *mandetory* evac IF the forecast verifies. Models are clustering in support...could change but if you doubt the power of a Cat-V, look at this URL. more local news misinforamtion. they are in the planning stages but its next to a sure bet they will have to proceed wethere ti goes into the gulf or goes close to the new track. we should start a sticky for all the misinformation from local news sources.

low and behold they went from planning to issuing an order..they have to, takes too long to get everyone out of there.

Yes, I do think it's in order. Good, prudent planning. My "Wow" was meant to say that this action starts to make the potential threat to Florida very real to me.
I've seen that link to Camille before. Incredible.
