I agree with you Dennis!

When I saw his proffessionalism (??) demonstrated as he was made aware of the fact that the military was questioning his judgement, I knew my first impression of him as a reporter was correct!

It appears to me that he thinks this is a war between HIM and OTHER REPORTERS.........not the US and Iraq. He made a mistake......not a little one.......any reporter giving ANY information, no matter how sketchy should NOT be there!.........p :wink:

Rainband, that story was on MSNBC last night with Joe Scarbourgh, they showed the clip of Geraldo mocking the Marines, the transcript should be on MSNBC.com on the MSNBC TV website tomorrow, I just went there to pull it up and it's not there yet, I'll keep checking back, as soon as the post it, I'll post it here. I couldn't believe my eyes, talk about being P.O'D, MAN I was mad, ya know, how can a person stand there and lie BOLD FACED to the American public and have NO REMORSE for this act???

It sickens me to the core what that man apparently will do to get ratings. As I said I change my opinion and think they should can his @!#* a_ _.

I also did some fact finding on him this afternoon from work. He HAS lied in the past to get his ratings up. That is also the reason his talk show was cancelled because people kept catching him in lie after lie. How sad for him to use "hallowed ground" to boost anything.

I'm still trying to figure out why they hired him in the first place. Is he trying to get a new show "Geraldo enters Saddam's Underground Bunker - What will he find? Will he find Saddam?"

He should atleast be sent back home or removed from the troops. Personally i dont care for fox. Im a Msnbc guy and i visit Cnn as well. Fox is too rating happy. The most time i spend on fox is during NFL time. :D

He may be a good journalist but this time he made a grave mistake that doesn't deserve second chances.He likes to be on the hot spots everywhere in the world as recently he was in Afganistan and later in Venezuela and now in the middle east maybe this time to go to the bunker and make an interview with Saddam (If he is alive).

I think removal from the theater of operations is probably sufficient in this case. Personally I don't like Geraldo's reporting style at all. He made a mistake that potentially could have put troops at risk but I agree the map he drew in the sand didn't lead to any actual harm. Kick him out of country and let him go look for Al Capone's vault again..
