Bob Breck-what he is saying
Bob Breck said that Ivan may go just south of Jamaica. And it may never make the turn to the north and do like Gilbert. But, he is still trusting the NHC models. Because they have been pretty consistant and on target with all the other storms. I trust them; too. He also says that history says we will never have to deal with this storm.

Bob also said that New Orleans is not out of the woods. He thinks that the hurricane will go South of Jamaica (NHC thinks it will be right over). Bob than said that if it does go south, it may continue moving west, make a turn after crossing Cuba and go out to sea and never tough Florida, or go to the left of the projected track (that would be to Louisiana) He said that it is too early to know...the next few days will tell. He's coming back on in a few minutes.

My wife and I left new orleans after about 10 years last year to escape all of the storms (among other reasons).
I always thought that Bobbo was a bit too hyper for me and I leaned more towards the wwl forecasts. The one thing I did learn, however, after living down in the big easy for so many years is that when they bring Nash out of the mothballs, you are in for some trouble. Last thing I remember was that he was in Texas taking care of an ill wife. I wouldn't worry too much unless they bring him and his markers back
You guys take care and stay safe. I'm glad that I don't live on the coast anymore!
