I have been using this site for nearly all of my information regarding tropical weather this year. I have found this to be an excellant place to get "up to the minute" information from very informed people. However I have one question. The home page never seems to get updated. The sat loops are still on Francis (which is no more) and the "tropical update" is still regarding tropical storm Alex. I can understand if this is due to a lack of time... I would love to be able to get all the information needed in one place. I truly appreciate all that you guys are doing, just some friendly advice to take things to the next level.

overall you guys rock....

thanks...overall this site is great... I understand the time thing. We got hit pretty hard in the Jupiter/Palm Beach Gardens area. Power finally back on today!!! Hoping and praying the Ivan visits someone else!!! Francis was all the storm I care to ride out this year. I always thought I would stay home no matter what size the storm was, however after witnessing what only appprox 100 mph winds feels like, I will have to really reconsider my thought process next time. Cat 2-3 feel pretty good, much more, my ass drives somewhere alse

Have a great night

Hi JJFL

I'm in PBG and we just got our power on today too. It's been a long week hasn't it? I think your right we got hit hard. We were just south of the eye in the eyewall for at least 8 hours...from what I could tell.

I'm finding it hard to be happy about things getting back to normal because I am soooo worried about Ivan. If we have to go thru this all over again.......

Does anyone know where I can see the radar loop of Francis making landfall on the florida coast. We lost power long before the storm really got going, and all we had was a radio. I can still hear Steve Weagle from Channel 5 talking about the "doughnut" storm making landfall....I would love to see this and really see the 60 mile eye and figure out just how far north the eye was from us. I was in Palm Beach Gardens, and we got no brake at all. I understand Jupiter got the eye for some time??? Still trying to figure out exactly what happend.
