Just got a room in Macon, GA, seems to be fair enough inland. Any thoughts? Don't forget I live in Ft. Myers, SW Coast.

Macon should be fine. The trick is to get there now. Leave early or you'll end up in the parking lot on I-75

Seems far enough to avoid the wind, but I hope you got a 2nd floor room so you don't have to swim to the restaurant :)

Should be fine. The latest NHC track has it in Southeast Georgia as a tropical storm Wednesday Morning. If that verifies, Macon would be on the weak side and would only get some rain, but not the brunt of it. Certainly from the winds your safe.

Hi Tracy,
I have a sister in law lives in Warner Robbins(not to be the bearer of bad
news :D ) which is just south of Macon. They were without power for 4
days during the Frances storm, also some tornados in the area!!!!!! Not to
mention the flood warnings. I think you will be ok in Macon!!!!!!
......Good Luck
