Interesting that Frances continued to maintain a very low pressure as she moved north into the gulf and into Georgia, in fact a very low pressure - in Tampa it was the lowest pressure many have seen or may ever see (hopefully) , these observations were made by several TV weather people as well.
but she never made it back to a cat 1 Hurricane. Speaking for myself the pressure at my home was 987 mb. Previous on Sept 14(?) 2001 I had a pressure of 991 with Tropical storm Gabrielle. These are the lowest I have seen with a slightly higher pressure in 85 during Elaina.
Does it look like the ULL to the NW has captured the northern outflow and possible grabbing some of Ivans moisture as it appears to being wrapped in the south of the ULL which looks like a double barrel ULL? Sure looks like the circulations are combine at high levels. Any opinions?
