I would think those poor DJs could use the break. They've been on there for a long and still have a long haul ahead of them.

Replaying the "opposition" labor party saying no reason for state of emergency. Hurricane weakening.

That sort of irresponsible politicization of a storm, certainly added to complacency.

Politicians just, plain, suck.

Yes ashame... Lets hope many didn't put much faith in his words... they seemed to give more time to him than the official gov't statement.

Main Entry: ig·no·rant
Pronunciation: 'ig-n(&-)r&nt
Function: adjective
1 a : destitute of knowledge or education <an ignorant society>; also : lacking knowledge or comprehension of the thing specified <parents ignorant of modern mathematics> b : resulting from or showing lack of knowledge or intelligence
2 : UNAWARE, UNINFORMED

Main Entry: stu·pid
Pronunciation: 'stü-p&d, 'styü-
Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle French stupide, from Latin stupidus, from stupEre to be numb, be astonished
1 a : slow of mind : OBTUSE b : given to unintelligent decisions or acts : acting in an unintelligent or careless manner c : lacking intelligence or reason : BRUTISH
2 : dulled in feeling or sensation : TORPID <still stupid from the sedative>
3 : marked by or resulting from unreasoned thinking or acting : SENSELESS

I would say technically they were ignorant as to the intensity of the storm and the dangers ahead, but ignorant due to the stupidity of officials not giving proper information.

Ignorant doenst know any better; stupid knows better but does so anyway.

The officials gave proper information. The radio station for some STUPID reason, allowed some "opposition" candidate get on the radio and say "nothing to worry about -- they are making it up -- we made it through Gilbert, etc." That was STUPID and may cost lives.

Are you listening to this woman from earlier talking about how they're not leaving?
