Charley and Ivan both missed Jamaica to the south.

That is really strange.. Charley's track looks like he went south around Jamaica & then came back north..weird!

there's no agressive front moving down from the NE gulf like when Charley had passed Jamaica.

I wouldn't think a front would have made Charley go south of Jamaica, when he was headed right for Kingston, would it?

there is still a weakness where the old stationary boundary is set up ne-sw over east central gom, this could be the gap ivan is looking for
