I still think it wasn't right for him.. He could have said "we're still watching it as it could threaten us".. or something along those lines

If he didn't say there was no chance, then that means it could still threaten you. So, for him to say that it could still threaten you would basically mean he was repeating himself. I think by NOT telling the public of the change in forecast and possible track that would irresponsible. Why not keep everyone up to date on the latest info? BTW perkiness is irrelevant.

He's like "All models say Panhandle so it's looking much better for Central Florida"

Well... All the models do say panhandle.. The nhc has been saying pan handle for a couple of days now.. So, I to would say its looking better for central Florida.. That dosent mean Central florida is in the clear.. Not at all. But I dont see anything wrong with the statement.. John you wouldnt agree with that statement?

It's not that I don't agree.. I'd just rather have him say something like "We're watching it or it could still threaten" or something..

Plus I think him saying all models pointed to the panhandle was arrogant on his part lol

Why is it arrogant of someone to say something that is true?

Arrogance is saying something that is obviously against a/the trend and acting as if he/you are 100% correct, with total disregard for the facts. And the facts are, the models are trending west. That is not arrogance on the mets. fault. He is giving the facts.

With a dangerous storm south of Cuba slowing its forward motion, no one, I repeat no one, is in the clear.
