West flow over Fla and E GOM

West flow over Fla and E GOM
Looking at satellite and radar data this morning indicates that a LL westerly flow exists over Florida and the eastern to central GOM. Thunderstorms off the Al and MS coasts are drifting west. The trough over the northern GOM looks to be weakening. What does this mean in reguards to Ivan? The ridge over the Atlantic is still proving a westerly stearing flow. Looks like Ivan will slowly creep towards the western tip of Cuba before starting a more northward motion. I am still holding to a landfall along the Alabama or Florida panhandle area. Shear only looks to be a factor along the norther GOM currently. Intensity will fluctuate due to eyewall replacment cycles and when Ivan passes over western Cuba......MGC
