Yikes! I'm not sure if I am buying all of this "miss cuba" talk yet. The latest loops show it is following the NHC track pretty well now, which takes it right over cuba, and at this strength, that would be bad, uber bad.

TWC just had announced it!
Wish the maps and loops kept up with things better but then I remember that all we had to rely on as a kid in Miami, was a b&w TV and a transistor radio! Now we have cable tvs and computer connections!
Wow! Wonder if I van is going to kick it up even more. It seems as if he a big bully though. He gets right there across the littler islands and skirts the larger ones.
Cuba is probably going to take a big punch though!

330 PM EDT SAT SEP 11 2004
DATA JUST RECEIVED FROM AN AIR FORCE RECONNAISSANCE PLANE INDICATE
THAT IVAN HAS REGAINED CATEGORY FIVE INTENSITY ON THE
SAFFIR/SIMPSON HURRICANE SCALE. THE CENTRAL PRESSURE HAS FALLEN TO
AN EXTRAPOLATED PRESSURE OF 914 MB AND THE ESTIMATED SURFACE WINDS
HAVE INCREASED TO 165 MPH...270 KM/HR. THESE NEW VALUES OR FURTHER
UPDATES WILL BE INCORPORATED IN THE NEXT ADVISORY.
