A strenthing/weakening thread would be a good idea too. Beats getting serveral of the same topics posted about it. When someone post a new topic that's already posted direct them to it. Just gives the site structure and keeps from good post being lost off the first page.

Fodie77 wonderful idea.

I don't think Ivan will give Gilbert a run for its money. He would have to deepen 25 mbs more. Wow... that is a lot.

Thanks for the compliment, but it doesn't appear as if its catching on. I'm still seeing a new movement thread once every 5 min.

All post-1980. I'm sure that fictitious Global Climate Change (Global Warming) has nothing to do with it.

Everytime a new one is posted if people would direct them to the proper thread it will catch on.

Whoops--there was one in 1935, apparently. Still, quite the trend. :-(

Still Iván has to go over very warm waters and is moving very slowly. There's time.

Click the link at top that say "Listen Live".

Right now they are still playing music, but at least it's tolerable music, if you dig reggae. Every now and then the DJ comments on the storm -- apparently they're already losing power in places, even though the storm isn't even there yet.

Andrew should not technically be in the list. The ones stronger than Ivan so far are the Labor Day hurricane of 1935, Camille (1969), Allen (1980), Gilbert (1988), and Mitch (1998). But one could likewise throw Andrew and Isabel into the running as close contenders.

Edited to add: Oops. Sorry, didn't know doc had already posted the storms for ya. ;)
