Is this Murphy's Law at work? Why is it?

#1 Postby Stormsfury » Wed Apr 02, 2003 7:26 pm

Why is it that on the first day of my vacation that later this afternoon I would come down with the worst sinus related headache that I've suffered in almost a year?

On two other vacations that I took previous, I've had some kind of illness.

Can't take the lack of stress? I'll call it Stress Withdrawal Syndrome! :-)

I was going to say the same thing MF Dolphin. It happens to me as well. The week before vacation, I change my sleep habits and I try to relax more. That way I am ready for the vacation, free from that stress related headache. It works, try it before your next vacation.

Hey Mf_Dolphin: The stress hasn't quite ended just yet...still have some minor details to contend with. Plus several hours of jamming out earlier today with some friends ... voice still hurts a little ...

Dennis, you may be right, someone is telling you something..*LOL*...I know that at least an anniversary is something I DON'T have to worry about right now... :)

Lindaloo ... I did change my sleep habits some, but with the back and forth scheduling from work (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday I had to wake up at 4 am to go to work at 5 am after being able to sleep in for 2 weeks prior...) Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday I got to sleep in, but still woke up before 8 am...The back and forth and also being able to sleep in somewhat seems to do a number on my headaches as well.

Well then you need to do the opposite then. lol. I believe once things start rolling along on the vacation, your headaches will vanish.

I'm hoping that it's only a temporary headache ... matter of fact, my headache has gone away somewhat ... I woke up this morning first with my whole left arm asleep and then later my back started bugging me.

So far now, so good.

GODSMACK!!!!!!!! 4/8/03!!!! :D :D :D :D :D 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

I went to visit a friend of mine in SC that I had not seen in quite a while. After about three hours I started getting sick. Had a sinus infection (bad one) with a touch of the flu all rolled into one. I managed to truck on. I looked like a walking cyclops with my face swollen. We went to a comedy club and we HAD to sit on the front row. I was heckled the whole darn time. lol.

I'll have "Faceless" in my CD collection as soon as the record stores make it available..

I had cuts from the Evanescence CD 1½ months before "Fallen" came out. I have some decent sources, also

I just found a Karaoke disc online with "Bring Me To Life" from Evanescence on it!!...I ordered it, now I have to find a female that can sing it! *LOL*

The new Linkin Park CD surprised me a lot...I really have to give that one some high ratings...

South Carolina weather will definitely play havoc with one's sinuses.

First with the incredible amount of pollen this year then the temperature swings - 86º on March 29, 40º colder the next day, and now back up near 80º again today...(after yesterday morning's frosty 34º on Monday)

SC huh? Not as bad as hearing "Your not from around these parts are ya"? every single time you open your mouth. Next time you want to make a stop in SC at a comedy club, let me know..I'll sit next to you and believe me...I'll be the target!

Hey SF. Hope that pip of yours feels better! Otherwise a good shot of Tequila should help.

Hope you have a good vacation ;)
