Amen Stephanie - Hillary Andrews does botch her forecasts/segments - I often think now what is she trying to say?
Recently I guess I was too critical about a new OCM at TWC. My daughter Laura said now Mom, you're being unfair.....so I let her give her opinion. Then I gave mine, which actually made me sound more unfair and downright mean she said. I tried explaining that I've always thought TWC is the highest you can go if you're an OCM! Let's see I can work for TWC in Atlanta or work for "small town USA", making much less than I would at TWC...mmm, doesn't seem like a difficult decision to make, unless of course the OCM was married, with kids....then that's another story. I was trying to explain to Laura, and failing miserably, that I think once an OCM is hired at TWC we expect accurate forecasts, correct pronunciations of cities/rivers, coast, etc. I don't want perfection 24/7, sure they can make mistakes, but if they make them at least 1/3 of the time, then THAT bugs me (Hillary Andrews).

LOL, one of the studio mets that really used
to get on my nerves while getting ready for
work in the mornings was Heather Tesh. She
would be talking, and, all of a sudden, a certain
word would shrill up an octave, and, I'd totally
miss the word! "Tornado warning for...eeeek!
...County in Tennessee..." I'd come out flying
around the corner, saying, "What!? What county??"
LOL, strange though...after she gave birth and
came back, I don't notice the squeaky shrill in
some of her words as much as I used to. Then,
again, maybe I just got used to it!

That's EXACTLY what I thought!!!!
LOL Breeze! I think that I've always resented the fact when they setup the new morning shows that they brought in a complete outsider (Heather Tesh) instead of using one of their own OCM's to work with Marshall. She reminds me more of a newscaster than a met.

Regardless of who is covering the storms, they have a responsibility to a) their own safety, b) responsibly report on it, and c) defer often and regularly to the necessity of evacuating when ordered and heading for safety when needed.
The younger OCM's unfortunately combine career opportunity (trying to get reports during the most dangerous times) and "hype" instead of clear thinking.
In the most crucial times, I'll take the maturity of a Jim Cantore over the zeal of the inexperienced.
TWC has normally been looked upon as a "responsible" source for weather information. The farther out on the edge they wander, the less credibility they will retain.

Reporting the storms... I would have to say Cantore and then a close second... Jeff Morrow. Both are rather interesting to watch. Yes, Stephanie Abrams is a 'babble' head doll... she frequently repeated herself when Frances was approaching (...3:10 we had to get our raingear on.....) well... duh, there is a hurricane approaching and it does have rain with it!
Speaking of Lisa Mozer type mistakes... all the OCM's should take a Geography lesson from Bill Keneely.... he knows his stuff!!

I see nothing wrong with Steph. Shes a good reporter and is always perky. Not to mentin she is really hot looking. Another cutie is that Nicole Mitchell. She has a great figure. As for a reporter it must be Bonnie bernstein. Shes not only a great reporter but is good looking as has a great smile.

Hot vs excellent reporting seems to be the debate here. Notice we male OCM admirers haven't focused on the hot issue - sure we'll say Cantore is our fave, some of us, but it's not b/c he's hot - he's just very good at what he does. And he's not a George Clooney, IMHO. Close but not quite it for me. I just think it's worth noting that some responses here are heavily leaning towards what pleases the eye rather than what is the most, accurate, informative on-air segment!
And ditto on Bill Kineely - he knows his Geography and should conduct seminars there at TWC.
If we want to discuss body movement - ie the bobble head Hillary - Heather Tesch's constant nodding to whatever Marshall Seese has to say with the firmly set mouth that she can do so Heather like, just annoys me too! The Hillary bob thing annoys the you know what out of some of you but when Heather closes her mouth, almost into a frown and starts the nodding thing going, I think oh here we go. I'd rather her just report the current wx, not agree with it! I realize this is a very nit picky observation to make but it does annoy me and fits in with the bobble head thingy.

Its different with guys though. I mean men want to see a hot chick regardless on how their reporting is. I mean Im the same way. I watch Steph Abrams cause shes cute. My favorite reporter though is Bonnie Bernstein. Shes a great reporter but is just adorable looking too.
