OMG - such a sad story. And one that makes an animal lover so mad! Why not spay or neuter the mother, before getting into this situation? But that's 20/20 hindsight kinda thinking I know....we spayed our Golden when the Vet said it was time. Didn't even have to think about it, the procedure was scheduled and done.
