A Quick Comment . . .

I'm still thinking the Florida panhandle eventhough most of the models are saying west. I don't seee it turning as west as the models says, its technically starting to turn more NW then WNW.

Well the Shortwave to the north is almost past and not much energy is digging far enough south the grab Ivan. There is some dry air behind the shortwave and it looks like high pressure is developing between the massive trough out west and the shortwave.. so more west would be no surprise to me. Momentum and the size of the system combined with an eroding ridge will make it a gradual turn towards the North. imho

Note the words in the 5am discussion from the NHC. They said they were inclined to move the track even more to the West.
