Newbie question re: -removed-
could someone tell me exactly what -removed- IS? i think from having read enough posts that i'm starting to get an idea...just wondered if there is a 'board definition' for this. I'm new to this site and don't want to commit this apparent sin of sins. I live in cold safe (from hurricanes) Canada but i have a real facination with tropical weather and i'm learning more and more everyday from this site and the wonderful people that educate others....thank you for your help

-removed- is forecasting a storm to hit near you in hopes that you can experience the storm. The more unlikely the "come sit by me" forecast, the more it is deemed a "wish"cast.
eta: I suppose it could be applied to forecasting a storm away from you against all reasoning, but that seems to be the case less often. And that's more denialcasting.

I understand the steering patterns of tropical systems, but at the same time there should be nothing wrong with seeing
the possibilities that a system may affect your own area.
I would assume those of us who are interested in meteorology the most would like to experience interesting weather.
