This is a link to a marine forcast page... they are forcasting
55 foot seas Wednesday night...

and that's assuming the storm passes to the East of us...

are deep water waves-I seriously doubt that you will get 55 footers breaking onshore because of the shoals off shore. Also, they will not be suitable for surfing since the break will be unstable.

They cite clearly "open ocean"

As for the coast, I would expect 20-30 foot tops except right around the area of landfall, that may be up >35.
