Powerful Wave near the African coastline...Karl?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Powerful Wave near the African coastline...Karl?

#1 Postby Hyperstorm » Mon Sep 13, 2004 7:57 pm

This one is forecast by some of the models to become something more than a tropical wave. We'll have to see what happens, but from what I can see, they're not going to be wrong.

Excellent UL conditions, warm SSTs, great amounts of moisture, convection in a cyclonic pattern just as it exits the coast (it's not the same having this well away from the coastline), and broad circulation.

I can assure you from years of watching, that this one may be one to watch. It's probably only a matter of time...

Wow, that looks better than our TD East of Puerto Rico. Geez, do we really need another long tracker across the ocean. I have no idea what will happen, hopefully it will never develop, or be a fish, but this storm make me so anxious because you have to watch them for so long.

I really can't argue about it since odds are definitely in your favor, but you'll remember this post when it happens...

We don't have to watch them so long...but many of us certainly choose to. May want to read post from a day or two ago about overcoming your Storm2k addiction!

Or perhaps more accurately, Florida! (Notice how even future Jeanne seems to have a love affair with that state?)
