As the land interaction with Cuba subsides, Ivan exhibited a NNE move from the 0430Z frame to the 0500Z frame on GOES10.
The background pattern did not move similarly, i.e. this does not appear to be an error of misaligning the photo against the map outlines, as Goes10 data at this site sometimes exhibits.
Animate those two images here, and step between them.

Before the bashers go crazy, please take note:
I am talking only about 2 frames, not claiming it is now "heading" NNE.
It may be a random jog. Nevertheless, it is the first jog with an E component I have seen with this system since inception.
A jog to the NNE (!) From 0430Z to 0500Z on GOES10

I dont know about a NNE jog but it was definitely a jog due N---as I said in another thread, Ivan may move more westward around the tip of Cuba followed by a more northward turn....He dont like land!! Also, this would not have shown up in the 2am advisory because overall...Since 11Pm, its moved NW.
