*** WREL web site is gone...update bookmarks

#1 Postby Scott_inVA » Mon Sep 13, 2004 10:20 pm

Came home tonight and received a flood of email indicating WREL's web site is no more. Sad to say, true.

Talk about foolish timing! Their weather, news and hurricane content is completely gone; yanked a few days before the possibility of major flooding. Anticipation of the site's demise prompted me to launch Mid-Atlantic WX.com 2 months ago. I was able to redirect from WREL to Mid-Atlantic WX.com until tonight when WREL killed their site and now many bookmarks are dead.

If you are using old WREL bookmarks they are now dead.

Here's the new addys you must now go to and then bookmark:

Weather homepage http://www.midatlanticwx.com/index.htm
HurricaneCenter http://www.midatlanticwx.com/hurricane.htm
Model Map http://www.midatlanticwx.com/modelmap.htm

I have no control over the WREL site as I have not worked for them in three weeks (I am now employed...believe it or not...by the Boy Scouts of America as a District Executive...but that's another story).

Sorry for any confusion. The content is all on line but you can't go through wrel.com.

Thanks.

Scott

That was 5 years of work but what's done is done. Just don't want folks thinking everything isn't available b/c it is.

Mid-Atlantic WX.com is rockin' right now so it's okay
