Why is everyone calling Jeanne a fish?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Why is everyone calling Jeanne a fish?

#1 Postby seahawkjd » Tue Sep 14, 2004 12:54 pm

Just wondering. It looks like the majority of the model guidance and the NHC forcast bring it fairly close to the east coast. Last thing we need, but I just wanted to know what you all are seeing that I'm not. Thanks in advance.

I do believe it's just wishful thinking. Jeanne's not looking like a fish yet...

Maybe because nobody wants it to come anywhere near the US.

Yeah ... more hope than science in that prediction.

I don't think it's at all clear where Jeanne will go beyond two days at most.

lol. thats good :)

I think Jeanne will leave her mark on the US, but probably pick on NC or SC this itme out. In any case, shes not forecast to strengthen quickly due to Frances upwelling and cooler SSTs.

Actually I am an "after-caster" coz after the storm I wish I had predicted it or I KNEW it all along.
