Are you kidding me?!

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Yeah, gk, but bear in mind that last night most forecasters were saying this was going to head north....that's a pretty drastic switch in my opinion - ugh...here we go again with another week or so of watching a storm, wondering where it's going - sheesh - I'm already in the cone again - gracious what a season!

And of course that is Accuweather's Jeanne forecast...not the NHC's.

I'm waiting for someone to put a forecast path as a 360* circle around the center of a storm. And then claim - "had it right to whole time!"

looks like there are two widely divergent influences that could play tug of war with Jeanne. That has to be the reason for the wide range of motion.

DT has a similiar track also. nhc hasnt been exactly perfect this year or close to it.

And everyone else today still thinks it will be a more northerly track like Frances, affecting anywhere from Florida to the east coast, or being a fish.

Lets see if the NHC makes a big change at 5...

DT said this morning he feels it will be an east coast of FL storm.

I would just put more faith though into Max Mayfield and team than Bastardi or DT for tropical wx is all.

nothing like covering all the bases, except fish storm, and who says that won't change. Just look at ivan's forecast from 5 days ago.

I expect Jeanne to stall several times along her Accuweather path into the GOM and then curve right - right into Anna Maria Island, FL sometime around the first weekend in October.

My reasoning is based on pure science --- hubbie and I had a trip planned to the Abacos on Sept. 2nd, but Frances travelled there instead. Hubbie had a second trip planned this Thursday (sept. 16) to the "Bobby Jones Trail" (I think that's the name of the golf course tour) in Alabama.

So reasoning says that since our last vacation is scheduled for Anna Maria Island Sept. 29th, Jeanne will be going there.

Hope no one minds some levity in this very stressful hurricane season.
