More evacuations in Louisiana - Tangipahoa
Just got a call from my sister in Livingston Parish and they had a blurb across the bottom of the screen regarding evacuations in Tangipahoa Parish. Might check your local news forecasts . . . .

That's where I was heading to evacuate, so I hope the following from the Tangipahoa Parish Council web site is all so far:
Voluntary Evacuation effective 5pm 09/14/04
THE TANGIPAHOA PARISH OFFICE OF EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS HAS ISSUED A VOLUNTARY EVACUATION FOR RESIDENTS LIVING BELOW HIGHWAY 22 AT 5:00 P.M. TODAY.
MANDATORY EVACUATION
A MANDATORY EVACUATION HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR ALL RESIDENTS IN MANCHAC AT 5:00 P. M. TODAY.
