I chose "breeze" because of the calm suggestion
of the name - and, generally, I am a calm person,
unless I'm pushed WAY far - then, I can be
"Nightmare Twister"! ;)

And all this time I thought it was because you were long "wind"ed. ;)

Moved to Arizona in 1997. Prior to leaving there, I was best known as AWOED (for Editor of the American Weather Observer for 14 years). Well, the publication didn't follow me here, but my love and appreciation for the Arizona sky did. Thus azskyman!

Let's see how I got the name TexasStooge:

I was born & raised in Irving, Texas; lived in the area most of my life.

And Stooge....well, that's obvious: I'm a fan of The Three Stooges. Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!

Most folks think of Arizona as being ALL desert, when in fact, I live at an elevation of 7102'! So....with that said, ever see a "Arizona Snowman?" LOL!

There actually is a story why I have this name, but it is kind of morose. So I think I'd rather just check out everyone else's stories...lol!!!
Keep on!!

Whoever did that is probably a Weird Al fan, because that was one of his albums.

Anyway, my usual screen name (for any type of thing that requires one) is heelsrule1988, but since this is a weather forum and I like hurricanes, I decided to make it hurricanefreak1988. And if you're wondering what the heels means in my usual sn, you should know if you're from NC. And if you're not, check out http://www.tarheelblue.com :P

<-Widepsread Panic...
"As long as there's water
Chilly wet water
Gimme some of that cool water"

It's also wishful thinking as in "I hope that 'cane hits some chilly water."

The coriolis effect causes air moving along the earth to move in different directions than the pressure gradients that propel it. This is due to the rotation of the earth and the convergence of longitudinal lines. Also, the apparent movement of air to an observer on the ground is different than the real motion. That's my life: always ending up somewhere other than where I aimed.

The nick came about long before S2K. It is a combination of the first initials of my last name V and B and a shortened version of where I live, Houston, Texas- and you have vbhoutex.
