hey everyone. from mobile alabama, i just wanted to say thank you soo much for your prayers and support. i am becoming more and more nervous as ivan approaches, but reading these kinds of threads always helps calm the nerves! we will be riding out the storm, and thanks to my aunt and cousin (who just drove 5 hours down here from north alabama to surprise us with a generator), hopefully we will be able to give everyone updates.
thanks again, sarah

Thank you, all of you! Y'ala are just fabulous!! It really does mean a lot!
As I mentioned in another thread, I have some family and many friends who stayed in the Mobile area to ride out Ivan. Some are in mandatory evac zones (some are even on rivers!!), but refuse to leave. Nothing any of us say it seems will change their minds. I know if I have friends like this, others must as well. Please also pray for those stubborn folks who don't want to leave everything they've worked so hard to get.

Hi Everyone,
This is my first post. I'm from Houston, Texas, going to medical school here. And for the last fifteen years have been learning about tropical development. I just wanted to say that I will be praying for you folks in Mobile with all my heart tonight, as it doesn't look good at all. Best wishes to you, and now I have to study for an exam tomorrow.
