What value is the information if it isn't updated in real time?

The Frances and Ivan 3 and 5 day track graphics are out of date already. Why not just use a link to the NWS / NHC graphics?

I could, but then I would be hogging their bandwidth; which would make the page render slower as more and more people access it with Hurricane Ivan nearing land. That is the main reason why I chose to not hotlink from NHC. :)
