Prayer Thread

#1 Postby stormchaserCP » Wed Sep 15, 2004 10:45 am

I thought it would be appropriate to begin a prayer thread as Ivan approaches the coast. It seems most people in the path of this hurricane have been spared the worst case scenario, and hopefully this will be the case again tonight, even though this will be a very severe storm no matter what. For those of you who believe in the power of prayer, or would just like to wish people on the Gulf Coast the best of luck, please post here!

Prayers, thoughts and ((((HUGS)))) sent your way from central NC.
Also, the same for those in Jeanne's cone/path.

O Almighty and Eternal God, Who sees us surrounded by so many dangers and miseries, grant in Your infinite goodness that the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Your Divine Son, may defend us from the evil spirit and protect us against all adversities, that always and with prompt succor she may deliver us from every evil of soul and body, and safely guide us to the kingdom of heaven, through the merits of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen."
Prayers go out to all in danger rom the Hurricane Ivan
