mesovortices don't occur IN the eye, rather they occur in the eyewall, what you see in the eye are debris clouds...also mesovortices are too small and embedded to show up on 1km satellite images

Meteorjosh, that's not correct, at least not in an annular hurricane (not saying Ivan is annular right now).

Mesovortices, and not debris clouds, were clearly visible rotating inside the primary eyewall of Isabell, for long periods of time.

Actually..."mezz-o" - and yes there are between 4 and 5 mesovortices in the eye right now. Meso - scale on order of 10-100+ km (definitely fits). Vortices - rotating clockwise (or ccw)...definitely fits.
