This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Jeanne developing an eye?

If you run an IR loop, you can see the beginning of an apparent eye developing for Jeanne. This is also apparent in PR radar, which shows her just about exiting the coast. Her movement has definitely been westward, though, which is potentially good news for the US (unfortunately, not for the DR or Haiti). If she continues in this direction (and I should mention that the NHC is NOT forecasting her to do so ... they expect a turn to the WNW), she could get torn apart by the mountains there. We'll see.

I don't expect her to. I forsee a WNW mvmnt. again by the 5 AM adv. BUT, the intensity is HIGHLY contingent on whether it hits DR. Unfortunately, I expect Jeanne to move north of DR with her eye intact (if she has one.)
