Debby is still fresh on my mind. I wouldn't be surprised if Jeanne continued west into Hispaniola and died.

Debby was a storm back in 2000 that went through Puerto Rico...the computer models at the NHC had it passing north of Hispaniola and curving into Miami as a 115mph storm..instead the storm went straight through Hispaniola and became an open wave when it exited south of the Windward Passage (b/w Cuba and Haiti)

What do T4.0/4.0 and CDO mean? For some reason, I haven't come across those before. Thanks in advance.

CDO = Central Dense Overcast. The circular (in an ideal cane anyway) area of very deep convection surrounding the center. Outflow bands etc. would be beyond the CDO.

T numbers are hurricane intensity estimates made by analyzing satellite imagery. A T number of 4.0 would equate to about 75mph (65kts) and thus by satellite estimates, Jeanne is a hurricane.

Thanks, BahamasWX. I'll go look up a bit more on the T numbers.
