Where did Ivan's eye wall pass?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Where did Ivan's eye wall pass?

#1 Postby Us 2 cajuns » Thu Sep 16, 2004 7:09 pm

Does anyone have a link showing the areas that Ivan's eye wall passed over? I know that it came ashore in Gulf Shores, but my daughters home is only 5 miles (as the crow flies) away on the west side of Pensacola, approximately 3 miles inland from the gulf. She is a divorced mom with 3 young girls and had evacuated to the East coast. She is unable to go home now, can't get any info on the area and has no idea what type of damage she may have sustained. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

That area was in the eyewall for at least 3 hours last nite with winds over 100 mph I'm sure. You are right that she can't get back in, at least not yet on the ground because all the bridges coming in from the East are washed out.
