Maybe the sat. pics are deceiving, but JEANNE looks a lot stronger now then a tropical storm. I'm curious what the NHC has to say at 11PM.

Amazing how quickly that convection flared up once her center got over just a little bit of water.

She may actually be back to minimal hurricane strength. She'll weaken a little again when she goes over the hills to her west, though.

Earlier discussions from the NHC reported that an upgrade back to Hurricane status was liekly as soon as it got away from the inland since the inner core continued to be well-organized ... and continues to be so ...

She looks stronger, but I wonder if the NHC will upgrade without any concrete evidence (recon).
