Karl Is Already Boring Us

Let's all face the truth. None of us are really all that interested in Karl. Why? Obviously, because he will be a fish. I'm sure that none of us wish to see additional death & destruction from more hurricane landfalls this year - that is understood. But, isn't it interesting that we really don't want to pay much attention to the next developing hurricane that will curve harmlessly out to sea? Human nature is just so fascinating, isn't it?

If the ridge builds in before Karl is too far north, the system could move due west toward the southeastern United States.

Wow! That isn't what I gather from the mets & initial forecast tracks. I think Karl is on the eastern side of the ridge out of Africa & won't get a chance to be steered west. Just what I'm told tonite. We'll see.

I would love to see a nice fish end to the season to pop out another 8 or 9 tropical cyclones. To kill the record for 1995 or even 1933. Just as long as there fish...

Notice the two highs, with the weakness between them... that is what is supposed to bring Karl eventually northward. The high to his direct north is not that strong, thus his wnw current path.

I remember the beauty of Isabel when she was just sitting out there. I'll take gazing at a perfect Cat 5 fish anyday over a major (or minor) hitting the southeast again.

Unfortunately, my gaze is averted to Jeanne when she's heading my way!
