Many of you have probably gone through the hurricane season archives on weather.unisys or weather underground. Some have probably noticed that in the 1966 season, after the J storm, the next storm is Lois.
Some might wonder "Hey! Where's the K storm?"
Well, there was a K storm that year. The name was Kendra, to be exact. However, after observing it on satellite for a bit, it turned out the storm was not a tropical cyclone. So the name was removed.
Kendra did get eventually used as a legit storm in 1978.

I did the research for Kendra '66 as well as I was typing the post up. Since it was not tropical, I didn't include it in my data set.
However, thanks for bringing it up!
