well, if we knew the outcome of karl, you could determine the outcome of Jeane. Karl = miss, jeane = hit, karl = hit, heane = miss

^ Earl was zipping along to the W around 30 mph and went through El Salvador or something, never got a chance to develop.

glad for the re-post clarifying the "florida" becasue gaston was not a miss around here...still cleaning up in some areas! (and NC and VA got it bad--possibly worse than we did!)

Yor are right about Earl (How Do You Edit)
TROPICAL STORM EARL WAS SHORT-LIVED. IT FORMED FROM A TROPICAL WAVE
ON 13 AUGUST OVER THE CENTRAL TROPICAL ATLANTIC OCEAN. IT MOVED
QUICKLY WESTWARD...BECAME A TROPICAL STORM ON 14 AUGUST...AND THEN
CROSSED THE CARIBBEAN WINDWARD ISLANDS ON 15 AUGUST WITH BRIEF BUT
HEAVY RAINS AND WINDS TO 45 MPH. EARL DEGENERATED TO AN OPEN
TROPICAL WAVE LATER THAT DAY OVER THE EASTERN CARIBBEAN SEA.
