Being Friday is probably why members aren't logged on and/or making posts.

I don't believe there have been any "critical errors" with about 100 logged in.

Yeah, I was thinking it was pretty slow here.
I feel my family has been a bit neglected and I am not one to start to many posts so there hasn't been much to repond to.
Plus, no one seems to know what is happening to anything. I think we are all just in the wait and see mode.

That too, Kris. The board increases in visitors when a storm is approaching, peaks when a storm is occurring someplace across the country than dramatically falls off because there isn't much to talk about.

In this case, we are monitoring Jeanne and Karl, but neither is an immient threat based on their current location.

Many of our users are still without power, and many that do have power wanted to take a break, including myself today ...

Needed it badly ..

The percentage of members without power can't be that high. There aren't that many members from Alabama and Mississippi with over 100 posts... and the majority of the Florida contingent don't live in the panhandle.

As for taking a break... I have nothing else to do usually, so I spend time online.

I've been lurking around this evening, although will be out to dinner with friends for the rest of it....I think that since it's Fri., and most of us need a well deserved break for a day or two, the numbers will be low tonight. Enjoy the Fri. night all because I think that Jeanne will keep us busy next week :)

I'm here, obsessing as usual.
One of my kids is off to PR to surf.
If *if* it is safe.. power, floods, water, mudslides after Jeanne...and *IF Karl actually is a fish then I might take a night off someday from s2k.

and in case, all that wasnt enough- I just had to go over TORNADO procedures for tonight.

I think its becuae of a lull in the action. If another cat 3 or 4 hurricane heads for the US,the board will start crashing again.
As for me,I need alittle break. Its been a trying week or 2

About an hour ago, I posted that I was taking a "weather break" tonight and other than zipping off a couple of emails, I'm still here. Actually, I'm trying to get info on the VA/Dc tornadoes and the NE in general. Guess I'm not going to get that much need time away from the computer but at least I'm in good company!!!! :)

I know Ivan took a lot out of me! Jeremy called his mom today and said Ivan sounded like a freight train running over his house for 7 hours straight. He said it was "pretty bad" in Navarre and still a lot of wind the day after. But, he worked this morning and is doing fine.
