LOL... Well I hope I don't unleash a pack of wolves on me, but here goes. I like Steve Doocy...he is a funny guy with a great personality, but every time he stands in front of the weather map and tries to forecast the weather it makes me want to puke. Sorry... I really enjoy him the rest of the time... I wish they would get someone on FOX who knew the weather if they are going to cover it. CNN used to be good about weather, but have since slipped. Flip Spiceland is no longer there... he was pretty good!

I voted no because none of them cover it very well. However, that's fine with me. I have storm2k

Also, I'd like to point out that FOX NEWS does have a regular meteorologist who normally does the weather throughout the day...I believe it's called the FoxCast. Steve Doocy is just "the weather guy" for the early morning hours. I think Doocy is funny and when he gives the forecast, it's quite entertaining.

Southerngale...yeah, I knew that they had mets to do the Foxcast... like Colin Snyder, a former TWC vet.
I just wondered if I was the only one who had seen the deterioration of the weather forecasts on the All News Networks in recent years. I think the weather plays a vital roll in the current war.

I voted no because the weather section in many local channels is about 1-2 minutes and that little time much is left to cover.

I think most people who want detailed weather information either watch their local news or TWC. Most people who are catching the weather on places like Fox News or CNN are just wanting basic info for the day..."do I wear shorts today?" or "will I need a jacket later?" or "do I take my umbrella?" -- that kind of thing.
Since they are "all news" channels, I think they cover the basic weather as a courtesy and don't really cover much weather unless it is newsworthy.

the best we have up here is News Channel 9 ( http://www.wixt.com ). They are better than the big Weather Networks like The Weather Channel ect...

I voted no, but almost voted for "Depends on the Network" -- but more so hard to answer any of the three.
Generally they cable new channels only have weather reports when there is something to cover. In the morning they spend more time on it, but not so much during the day. (not now during the gavel to gavel "Operation Iraqi Freedom" coverage)
The Fox News Channel uses WSI, located in a town in Boston's northwest suburbs. I believe it is where TWC's Mark Mancuso used to work (he used to be on "WEEI NewsRadio 59" in the 1980s) before he went to The Weather Channel. You see Terry Casey sometimes and he has been a weekend meteorologist at WHDH-TV 7 in Boston for several years now... used to be a substitute on weekends, I am pretty sure he is on most weekends now.
Garrett, I believe you are referring to Colin Marquis. A.J. Barnett and Joe Venuti are two others we see on The Fox News Channel.
