Ivan Official Landfall?

Although Pensacola Beach, Florida took the most wrath from Ivan on the NE quad, doesn't the state of Alabama get credit for the landfall?

The center coordinates of the eye qualify for official landfall.

That occurred in a small town, about seven miles west of Gulf Shores, named Palmetto Beach, Alabama.

I don't think it really matters but the official landfall was in Alabama and from the looks of it, AL took a bit more of a hit in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach area. Pensacola is devestated as well which is a real shame as they just completed the beach rebuilding from Opal :(
