WOW! I just posted another thread in the USA weather forum......after the rains, which BTW, are a few hours by looking at the latest radar info, the temps on Tues night thru the rest of the week are forecast to hit the LOW "20's" Goodbye summer, helloooooooo winter! NWS FLAG has issued numerous flood warnings/flood statements for today, tonight, tomorrow and Monday, I'll keep y'all posted!

THIS WATCH INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING CITIES:

DEEP SUB-TROPICAL MOISTURE WILL MOVE NORTH INTO ARIZONA TODAY AND
WILL INTERACT WITH A COLD FRONT TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY. SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY BY THIS
AFTERNOON...WITH RAIN BECOMING HEAVY AT TIMES TONIGHT AND SUNDAY.

2 inches of rain in an hour or less (which is the way it tends to come down here) is a bunch for anyone. My son called from TUS to report siginificant Street Flooding in Tucson with Alvernon at Speedway almost impassible and a couple of streets closed due to flooding and downed power lines. The Uof A reported 0.5in of rain in 10 minutes which is a 3in/hr rainfall rate. Meanwhile in Mohave County there was a warning out for a nice Supercell between Wickenburg and Wickieup along US 93. Tomorrow is actually supposed to be the big day. Forecast amounts with these Tropical Remnants from EPAC are always tricky and can range well above 2 inches in places (Olivia in 2000 dropped 8 inches of rain in the Huachucas). EPAC moisture remnants as well as EPAC moisture plumes during the Winter can be a major factor in Central and Eastern US storms as well.

After a quite night last night, it's making a HUGE comeback this morning near hurricane force winds with some of these supercells!

having experianced 2 inches of rain in an hours before in London(due to a rather nasty multi-cell system)I can see it can do some serious problems(heck it floodoed areas of London!)

My mistake folks, I apologize for this, I said 2.43" when in all actuallity, it was only 1.43".......I read my guage wrong this morning, HEY....it was EARLY "LOL!" We've had off and on showers all day, hasn't amounted to too much HOWEVER......the WIND has been BRISK to say the least.
