Pre-Lisa becomes a Special Feature

#1 Postby HURAKAN » Sat Sep 18, 2004 1:29 pm

Tropical wave along 25w...in the western part of the Cape Verde
Islands...south of 18n...moving west 10 to 15 kt. Scattered
moderate to isolated strong showers and thunderstorms from 11n
to 16n between 26w and 30w. This area of precipitation is
becoming better organized. There is potential for tropical
cyclone formation during the next day or two as the system
moves slowly westward.

TD #13 in 24 hours or less if this organization trend continues.

Do you think that this potential Lisa also has the potential to be a fish as it follows in the wake of Karl or will it keep on going west?

At this moment is not possibe to say for sure but the NOGAPS forecast doesn't look good for the Leward Islands.

Nothing fishy about Lisa. Karl is no threat and Jeanne is still in limbo

Yeah ... unlike Karl, I think Lisa-to-be has good prospects of getting to the islands.

5pm TWO

SATELLITE IMAGES INDICATE THAT THE SHOWER ACTIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH
AN AREA LOW PRESSURE CENTERED ABOUT 250 MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE CAPE
VERDE ISLANDS IS SLOWLY BECOMING BETTER ORGANIZED. THERE IS
POTENTIAL FOR TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO
AS THE SYSTEM MOVES SLOWLY WESTWARD.

Let see if it develops then see if it'll get to the islands :)
