Ok , TOP SECRET,...but just for those Tropical weather buffs who enjoy the conspiracy possibilities of IVAN returning I bring you this confidential
note from the Tampa NWS discussion this Sunday AM..... mums the word,
LONG TERM (TUE NGT - SAT)...RATHER IMPRESSIVE PRESSURE GRADIENT IN
PLACE TUESDAY EVENING THEN GRADUALLY RELAXES BY WEDNESDAY MORNING AS
GFS TRIES TO SPIN UP LOW PRESSURE...PERHAPS REMNANTS OF IVAN...WEST
OF THE PENINSULA. AT THIS TIME...PLAN ON IGNORING THIS FEATURE AND
UNDER-CUTTING GFS WINDS BY 15 TO 20 KNOTS.
...remember mums the word. Its our secret

Oh yeah Brent,...after Accu-weather's complete I mean complete bomb- out with Jeanne I wouldn't hold much faith in what they say. Accu-weather was so darn sure of their forecast for Jeanne to move off the Big Rocky Islands coast and quickly become a Hurricane and to quote the forecaster on Fox news "Jeanne will hit the USA as a Hurricane early this week". Accu-weathers track had Jeanne crossing south central Florida due west directly into the Gulf then hitting LA.
Hmmmm,... such bravo but the main player decided not to show.
Woman can be so fickle.

TLHR, I am with you I can't see anything. I thought that what was left of Ivan's circulation was caught up in the front & raced NE of New England.
But I had read that the circulation was cut with the high level pushing with the front and the low level remains moving SW into the Carolinas. I read this in a previous local Tampa discussion.
Either way it appears some moisture will push into Pensisula Florida over the next 48 hrs.
Looking at the current WV loop I do see the dry air receding rapidly back to the west leaving a slot with what looks like some sort of circulation moving off the SE NC coast S/SE into Atlantic but it becomes lost to my eyes, except for some hight clouds moving SW towards GA-Fl. There appears to be a weak frontal trough remaining off the east coast of Florida.
Is this it? Ivan I mean?

does not matter.... he called this 2 days ago... and now we see it turning up in the NWS outlooks.. Funny thing is, if you look at the NRL site, if they still have it up, the last forecast track for ivan from the nhc was to loop in central north carolina... he said that he thought that wass wrong and would come off the coast of Va.. well it did right over my area here in norfolk... now, ivan is headed south along the coast... too many people hammer him when he is wrong but no one really ever gives hin credit when he is dead on... i can think of several times this year that he nailed before anyone... alex, gaston, ivan hitting alabama before the nhc forecasted it... now this...
