I remember Kyle in 2002. That was during the time Lili passed through Louisana. I thought that Kyle had died a slow death out in the Atlantic somewhere around Florida or the Carolinas.

Kyle was out there for so long it hurts my brain even trying to think of how long it was.

I remember Jim Cantori dancing around on my TV screen trying to talk about that one. Looked like he was in an aerobics class or something.

Eventually made landfall near McClellanville, SC ... man, there wasn't a lot of wind with the system but the thunderstorms were memorable with excessive POSITIVE cloud strokes ... and the thunder was a heavy, booming type ... sometimes even making things shake ...

Around 8:30 am, the last band of thunderstorms, the convective cloud tops were in the 50,000 to 60,000 ft range, and the skies became as dark as night ... unreal ...
