Synoptic as of tonight... Problem with tracks...

#1 Postby ericinmia » Mon Sep 20, 2004 12:25 am

I just woke up drew this up for you all; I need to go to bed, for I have a very important meeting in the morning. So I have no time for debate, sorry.

Its pretty self explanitory...

Karl:
If the weakness between the two ridges fills in as it has slightly in the past 24 hours... his northerly route will be cut off.

Jeanne:
If Jeanne does not speed up NOW... she should not make the weakness left behind between the two ridges over the western atlantic, left from the shortwave trough. Once they bridge she will run into the ridge to her north, and is blocked by the bermuda high to her east... this will result in the loop-de-loop track.

I don't put much faith in the latest model runs, they seem to be underestimating, and misplacing certain features wich have obviously taken strong hold. Albeit they are right in some features, the ridges most specifically the eastern usa feature are being very poorly depicted.

Thanks for the graphic and head's-up discussion Eric.

I wish Florida could buy a major cold front to sweep everything away. This is an insanely stressful season.
