Tropical Storm Jeanne Forecast # 4

DISCLAIMER: USE NHC for OFFICAL INFO

Jeanne has winds of 60 mph and a pressure of 992 mb. I think it will become a hurricane again in 36 hours.

Jeanne's movement is under control by a mid-level trough to its northwest and a ridge to its east. I expect a strong trough to come by and leave Jeanne behind, as a strong ridge of high pressure builds in. Jeanne may spin around for a little bit...

The intensity forecast is hard... but I think there is enough of a favorable pattern to make Jeanne a hurricane again in 36 hours, or less. Than some shear should start to play a role and hold Jeanne in check. This forecast is so uncertain, a 2 year old can draw a scribble in crayon, and that may be the track Jeanne takes.

NOTE: I WILL NOT DO A FORECAST ON POWERFUL HURRICANE KARL, HOWEVER... DOWN THE ROAD I MAY DO ONE FOR "LISA" IF IT BECOMES A THREAT....

12 HRS-- 26.8 N--- 71.9 W-- 55 kt
24 HRS-- 27.8 N-- 71.9 W-- 60 kt
36 HRS-- 28.6 N-- 71.5 W-- 70 kt
48 HRS-- 28.4 N-- 70.8 W-- 65 kt
72 HRS-- 27.8 N-- 70.8 W-- 70 kt
96 HRS-- 27.3 N-- 71.4 W-- 65 kt
120 HRS- 27.3 N-- 71.8 W-- 65 kt

Not too shabby Mike. You said it right on: "This forecast is so uncertain, a 2 year old can draw a scribble in crayon, and that may be the track Jeanne takes."
