It's the ghost of Ivan. You can see him off of the Miami radar, appx 60 miles ENE of the KAMX radar site.

Also he says Lisa will go west under the ridge!! Imagine another Major CV storm that could make it all the way across!!!!! Lisa is small like Andrew. Also SE of Lisa is a even bigger wave forming. This will go under the ridge and into the caribbean I think. Could even cause Lisa to dissipate.

He claims he's tracked the windfield since Friday on the DelMarVa Peninsula. It would be (what I opined as a possibility on Thursday) similar to a trof split except this was a storm split where a piece went off into the Westerlies, and a piece drifted back down (though not initially SW as most trof splits do).
TPC called it "partial remnants of Ivan" which I'm inclined to agree with. Ghost, Son of, Junior, etc. are all reasonable interpretations.

going out on a limb here . . . could it be possible by weeks end to have 6 named storms at once. Unlikely but bear with me moving from west to east 1) Ivan redux/Matthew in gomex 2) Jeanne meandering east of the Bahamas 3) Karl north atlantic dying 4) Lisa mean little lady still chugging west 5)Matthew/"O" name looks like an impressive wave right behind Lisa 6)"O"/"P"name big wave just coming off African coast. Even if only half of these pan out we still have 3 systems going at once, and given the past month-6weeks we've been through

Half say it's Ivan, the other half say it isn't. The National Weather Service and The Weather Channel are calling it "Ivan."
As was discussed here last night, Ivan's main low moved northeastward off the northeast coast. A "deposit" was left that
eventually moved southerly and southwesterly and then again southerly to it's current position, off the Florida southeast coast.

Hey that's a good question, If we ran out of alphabet letters, then what would heck would we do?
use numbers.... Hurricane number 2004-1A, or 2004-2B?
or would they make up a new list of name and start all over?
or perhaps they could use the names of fruits and vegetables... like Hurricane Apple, or Hurricane Banana, or Hurricane Corn or Hurricane Dill Pickle....
or would they use the 2005 names, then start all over for next year?
this could be a serious crisis... I sure hope the NHC has a contingency plan for this scenario and I am starting to get concerned...

I posted this in two other threads.....
The letters of the Greek alphabet are used when all 21 names are used:
..1) ALPHA (AL-fuh)
..2) BETA (BAY-tuh)
..3) GAMMA (GAM-uh)
..4) DELTA (DEL-tuh)
..5) EPSILON (EP-sil-on)
..6) ZETA (ZAY-tuh)
..7) ETA (AY-tuh)
..8) THETA (THAY-tuh)
..9) IOTA (eye-OH-tuh)
10) KAPPA (KAP-uh)
11) LAMBDA (LAM-duh)
12) MU (MYOO)
13) NU (NOO)
14) XI (KS-EYE)
15) OMICRON (OM-i-KRON)
16) PI (PIE)
17) RHO (ROW)
18) SIGMA (SIG-muh)
19) TAU (TAU)
20) UPSILON (OOP-si-LON)
21) PHI (FEE)
22) CHI (K-EYE)
23) PSI (SIGH)
24) OMEGA (oh-MAY-guh)[/size]
One of the local Orlando meteorologist (Glenn Richards on WOFL-TV 35 [FOX] is one going with the "piece of Ivan," rather than "the remnants of Ivan"... which of course means what is affecting Florida is not Ivan's parent low.
