Do you are planning a trip this summer?

#1 Postby cycloneye » Sat Apr 05, 2003 6:12 pm

I wont go anywhere this summer or the whole year as what is going on worldwide doesn't invite me to do so.

Will the members do the same as I will and not go anywhere or you will go somewhere?

I'm not sure what I'll do this summer...I'm planning on going to Paris, but it's a few months out, so anything can happen. What I do know is that I'm not going to let terrorism get in the way of me having a good time! :D

Not planning any pleasure trips - those are spent well at home!
Never know when a workshop/seminar might pop up, though!

For me it is not the terrorism that my family worries about but that sar syndrome that is spreading around the world and that is what worries the most now and until the real cause is found we wont go out of Puerto Rico to the states or to Europe.

Ya know, I've thought about SARS too but a doctor on CNN said something today that made me sit up and think about it. She said that we have become a nation of hypocondriacs, which is true......like she said, more people die from the common flu and p-monia, colds than from SARS. I kinda have to agree, if God wants to call us home, there is nuthin' on the face of the earth that can save us.

Fortunate indeed...

#17 Postby azskyman » Sat Apr 05, 2003 10:02 pm

We are fortunate indeed to have some time off coming this year. No desire to travel abroad, however...not now.

Back home to northern Illinois in May for a short trip....hope to also shuttle back and forth from Phoenix to San Diego to see our son and family especially when the temps start hitting 110+ here.

Finally, if all goes well...a return trip to Hawaii in September. Kathy and I were there back in 1970 as part of my R and R from Vietnam. 33 years is long enough to await a return trip.

I'm not sure yet. My sister and her little girl are flying down here to help celebrate our grandmother's 90th birthday in early July...lord willing, and no terrorist attacks.

I might spend some time fishing up in the northeast Georgia mountains....doubtful I'll go to the beach this summer/autumn--unless it's to chase a landfalling major hurricane

Yes indeed! Every year that my Wife and I have been married, we have taken a summer trip to the same cabin in Gatlinburg TN. I'm already looking forward to it :)
