LISA To Florida?

Our local met gave a run down of the current tropical sytems in the Atlantic,and he said Lisa could be on a course that would eventually take her to Florida :eek:

way TOO early to speculate on that ... the same dangers of one scenario over another are greatly dependant on how Karl affects or doesn't affect Lisa, and will Lisa get too close to be caught in the larger circulation of Karl, or not ...

Local met's like ratings. For anyone to say Lisa is coming to Florida would be totally irresponsible. But, you can say on a track to Florida and get away with it. The fact is no one on this planet right now can say if Lisa will hit Florida as a CAT 5 or never get here at all. You watch you wait and you stay informed that's about it.

Yes, way to early to say if Lisa will be a threat to the U.S... things can change with the storm being many days away from being a possible U.S. threat. It wasn't that many days ago that the forecast for Jeanne was calling forlandfall in Florida by now

The best thing to do is issue a BEAR WATCH that should last until either a BEAR WARNING is needed or until we know for sure Lisa will do what Karl is about to do, and recurve away ...

BEAR WATCH is a running gag right now with several AFD's from the National Weather Service offices using the term "Bear Watch" for a situation that bears watching ...

There was no question that this what it means... but you (everyone) has to admit it's an odd way for NWS offices to put it.

When it was first brought up yesterday afternoon, one was to wonder what they meant. Of course systems such as this bear watching;
this one in a more interesting way (although all storms are unique in their own way)

Lisa is going to hit near Galveston, Texas as a Catagory 3.

I base this on absolute %100 junk science divided by -removed- percentage/speculationx2.

Maybe next season we can wish them some where else all season. Decemeber can not come quick enough in my opion.
