Local met's like ratings. For anyone to say Lisa is coming to Florida would be totally irresponsible. But, you can say on a track to Florida and get away with it. The fact is no one on this planet right now can say if Lisa will hit Florida as a CAT 5 or never get here at all. You watch you wait and you stay informed that's about it.

BEAR WATCH is a running gag right now with several AFD's from the National Weather Service offices using the term "Bear Watch" for a situation that bears watching ...

If you live on the coast, where booze sales cease as soon as a mandatory evacuation order is issued ---
Beer Watch: mandatory evacuation orders may happen in the next 3 days -- check your cooler.
Beer Warning: mandatory evacuation orders are likely in the next 24 hours -- head to the nearest discount beverage store.

There was no question that this what it means... but you (everyone) has to admit it's an odd way for NWS offices to put it.
When it was first brought up yesterday afternoon, one was to wonder what they meant. Of course systems such as this bear watching;
this one in a more interesting way (although all storms are unique in their own way)
