Models are beginning to go back to a westward trend, bringing Jeanne dangerously close to the east coast of Florida, then north toward the Carolinas. She currently is drifting to the SE, so the trough has bypassed her. Let's see if she begins moving west today. How far she moves west and when she begins that move are the great unknowns. But lthe ridge is speading over her to the north. Cheers!!.

Blonde Storm with a Redhead Attitude

#6 Postby sunflowerkist » Tue Sep 21, 2004 8:10 am

She is a blonde storm with at redhead attitude and she is not ready to dye her hair brunette. As long as she is getting all this attention she is going to consider kicking up the waves and keep us chasing her. If every one stops paying attention she will sneak up on us and then we will be sorry. So, do your stuff Jeanne. We are waiting for you here in Florida. Charley, Frances, Bonnie, Ivan all tried us out and went elsewhere. You try us and you will find out we are tougher than you are.!

A blonde with a redhead attitute? Well, if she's not into dying her hair... perhaps we should shave it for her! Give her the Sinead O'Connor look! Maybe she'd trek off toward Europe post haste.

Yeah, I noticed that to Steve. The vast majority are taking her back West and looks like within 100 miles from the East Coast of FLorida. At this point Florida would very much be a target with the margin of certainty this far out, 100 miles is nothing.

Well, I'm gonna keep an eye on her. We could very well get lulled to sleep right now, then get into a hurricane watch later this week. Most people on the street think that Jeanne is gone into the mid Atlantic, and maybe she'll end up there. But she's been playing possum with us, and she may have a surprise or two up her sleeve! :(

She's starting to remind me of Kyle from a couple years back- just hanging around for weeks, not seeming to really want to make mainland landfall anywhere.

I agree

It seems I have hurricane burn out...just don't have anymore energy left to worry about hurricanes... yet I know I need to keep my eyes open and continue paying attention to the active tropics...it seems Florida has been attracting a lot of attention from these storms...it is the year for hurricanes...just about everyone in my family has been affected by the last 3 storms...I got hit hard by Charley and Frances...I have family in Orlando, Cocoa Beach and Vero Beach...my brother lives in the Panhandle in the county of Navarre...he drives back today to see if his house still stands from the pounding that Ivan gave everybody...amazing stuff...so many lives have be affected by mother nature...I can't wait for this storm anxiety to go away...I think we should all have an early Christmas!

Hope people aren't thinking that this year is pretty much done and are letting their guard down. Especially here in Florida. Heard some saying we've had our share no more storms will come our way.Hubby is one of them!!

That new path that shows Jeanne may finally go somewhere means we may have to keep an eye out.. Actually the models.. not the path lol

Jeanne has gone every direction but up, so here's hoping she gives that a try, eh?
